The 2018 AGM has been held on 20th August at Dorrington House, Jimboomba and the committed has been confirmed for the 2018-19 year.
The committee welcomed Cr Trevina Schwarz to chair the nomination and election process. This year, we also welcomed representatives from the corporate members to sit with the committee and provide additional industry expertise. This year, the committee are working towards increasing community and business connections, providing growth and education opportunities for all business levels, and welcoming more local businesses to the chamber of commerce.
The Logan Country Chamber is working with the other business chambers in Logan to bring bigger events such as LEXPO 2018, the 2019 Combined Chambers Business Distinction Awards, and the quarterly combined chamber events. As a member of the Logan Country Chamber of Commerce, you are also able to receive member’s prices at any other chamber of Logan event.
2018 showed some changes to the business environment and there are many more start up / online / home based businesses. All businesses are welcome to join the chamber of commerce and we can all learn from each other’s experiences. Digital forums are leading the way for marketing and promotion, gathering leads and providing reviews and referrals. It’s time for all businesses to embrace the change and make the most of the opportunities available to them.
Your new committee looks forward to engaging with you and your business over the next year.
